Taman Sari, Yogyakarta palace garden
Taman Sari is a palace garden or vacation home located approximately 0.5 km south of Yogyakarta palace. This place sultan and family rest or doing meditation. Unlike the palace buildings, with Java architecture, the building of Taman Sari, characterized by Portuguese architecture. Taman Sari is the former site of a park or garden palace of Yogyakarta Palace, which was built in the days of Sultan Hamengkubuwono I. Consists of bathing pool, hanging bridges, water canals, artificial lakes with artificial islands and underwater hallway. Taman Sari complex is divided into 4 parts. The first part is an artificial lake located in the west. The third part is Pasarean Ledok Sari and Garjitawati pool, located in the southern part of the second. The fourth section is the east part of the first and second, and extends eastward to southeastern Magangan complex.
